I have been re-elected as Ward Councillor South Brent, previously representing the Eastmoor Ward from 2011, one of the largest wards in the South Hams though containing no large towns.
I have lived in the area for over fifty years and have a good knowledge of all the tiny lanes and hamlets that are a feature of the South Hams.
I am married to Angela and we have three daughters.
I have been a farmer all my life and I am the third generation of my family to live at Smallcombe. Up to 2009, we were dairy farming with 110 cows but we now keep beef cattle, rear dairy replacements, and we also have a small organic vegetable acreage, plus a caravan site.
I have a long connection with the Devon Young Farmers Club and I am a member of its Board of Management. I am also a member of Rattery Parish Council and the Rattery Village Hall Committee.
I enjoy watching Exeter Chiefs Rugby Club and my wife and I enjoy walking, either on Dartmoor or the Coast Path.
