RESOLVED

That Cllr Pearce be appointed Chairman for the duration of the Sub-Committee meeting.

PART TWO – ITEMS WHICH MAY BE TAKEN IN THE ABSENCE OF THE PUBLIC AND PRESS ON THE GROUNDS THAT EXEMPT INFORMATION MAY BE DISCLOSED (if any).

The Committee is recommended to pass the following resolution:

“RESOLVED that under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the Meeting on the grounds that exempt information may be disclosed as defined in the paragraph given below in bold type from Part I of Schedule 12(A) to the Act.”

In light of the meeting seeking to consider the determination of the renewal of a private hire operator licence and to consider whether a driver remains a ‘fit and proper’ person to hold a hackney carriage and private hire licence, it was PROPOSED and SECONDED and when put to the vote declared CARRIED that:

RESOLVED

That, in accordance with Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the Meeting on the grounds that exempt information may be disclosed as defined in the paragraph given below in bold type from Part I of Schedule 12(A) to the Act.”

Following consideration of the case, the Chairman informed the Applicant of the Sub-Committee’s decision, details of which are shown at Exempt Appendix A to these published minutes.
